    Martial Arts that dont work

I have Always Wondered about Several Forms of Karate. I have a friend who takes something called isshinryu, It uses forms and Katas. I think its a bunch of BS but I need some feed back and some opinions, and if you know any other Martial Arts that may be BS also list those. (www.isshinryu.com)

For your information any martial art trained properly can work.

About karate, yes it works. My word it does. Don't believe me ? Go compete in a full contact karate tournament, then come back and tell me karate doesn't work. But it's not just your full contact styles like Kyokushin or Enshin that are effective. Any style of karate trained right can work. It all depends on the individual club and how they train. If they place focus on lots of pad work, lots of fitness drills and hard contact fighting then you've got a great place to train at.

Yellow Bamboo doesn't work, unless the goal is to get beat up. But if you want to get technical it's not a martial art because there's nothing martial about it.

I would disagree with that. There are some martial arts that even when trained 'properly' are completely useless.
