    This is so when someone rips your cowl off, they won't discover you are really Bruce Wayne.

    It looks like a bad version of a elbow destruction used to get into a clinch.

    Its for getting the floating ribs on the right side of your body removed by round kick, knee and shovel hook respectively. I've heard if you get those ribs removed amazing things are possible.

    But seriously, if looks like a decent way to cover your face while you bull your way it, but its not gonna work because A: the hands on head guard (crazy monkey) is better for that, more malleable and allows you to punch and throw elbows, and B: because it leaves you exposed to eye-gouges.

    Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
    and remember what peace there may be in silence.
    As far as possible, without surrender,
    be on good terms with all persons.
    Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
    and listen to others,
    even to the dull and ignorant;
    they too have their story.

    -excerpt of the poem called "Desiderata," by Max Ehrman, 1927.

    The first one is horrendously uncomfortable (I'm not that flexible in crossing my arms). Also, the hands, what do they do with them from there? They may as well put their hands behind their necks since it robs your hands and arms of mobility - maybe I'm missing something, but that's what it looks like.

    The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

    Fantastic.

    ...I can feel it in the cockles of my heart... maybe the sub-cockle area.
