This chump is a joke. I approached him because I really wanted to learn Youshin Ryu Ju-Jitsu, which he said he knew, then tried to sell me on his "American Modern Ju-Jitsu" crap. His name is Isreal Velez and he is a total con man. I don't mind people selling their videos for educational purposes, but this guy was willing to certify me to 7th degree black belt in all 4 of the different martial arts that he created (Yup, he's so damn awesome that he creatred 4 different martial arts!!!!), if I were to certify him in American Kenpo. When I asked what rank he had in American Kenpo, he said 6th degree black belt. I then asked him why he needed me to certify him if he's already a 6th degree black belt and he gave no response. I then asked him how long it took for him to learn Long Form 10 in American Kenpo and he said just under a year and that he's really good at it now. MORON, there is no Long Form 10 in American Kenpo!!!!! Caught in a lie, never heard from him again. TOTAL JOKE AND A FRAUD!!!!! Watch out for this guy, he would sell his family in order to gain rank. Calling BULLSHIDO on him and anyone associated with him.

One, thanks for the 5 year old necro. It's tasty!
Two, this joker is claiming 2nd Dan in Combat BJJ from someone name Lazaro Bueno.
All I see for "Sifu" Bueno is Kenpo and JKD. No mention of any BJJ combat or otherwise.
EDIT:Actually, it looks like this guy has been touched upon recently on BS.

Just out of curiosity, why would someone do something like that? What can you gain by saying that you are a certain rank in something if you really aren't? I have been studying the martial arts for almost 30 years now and I have no clue as to why people do this. I would love to claim a high ranking black belt in Ninjutsu, I really would. I remember being in love with the art when it was huge in the early 80's, but I only got up to green belt. I say that I have obtained rank in Ninjutsu, but I don't claim to be a 9th degree black belt. Can you or anyone honestly shed light on this subject? Does someone actually get something for claiming they are something if they really aren't? Boggles my mind.
