Uwe Boll takes on more challengers
Filmmaker, critics set for slugfest
Boll eager to thump writers, bloggers
German director Uwe Boll is in Vancouver this weekend looking to violently settle the score with his critics.
In June, the director of Blood Rayne and House Of The Dead challenged critics to step into a boxing ring with him after calling him "one of the world's worst filmmakers."
He claims that journalists are "making value judgments" on his films "based on the opinions of one or two thousand Internet voices" -- some without even having watched his movies.
Boll, who has some boxing training, fought and easily won his first match Sept. 7 against a Spanish film critic known as Oso.
"Contrary to what those stupid, weak critics say," said Boll in a prepared statement given minutes after the fight, "I have now proven that my movies are fantastic." (WTF)
"The only bad part of House Of The Dead was maybe Tara Reid's acting."
On Saturday night, at the Plaza of Nations, Boll is fighting:
- Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka, 6-foot-1, 155 pounds, webmaster at Something Awful.
- Jeff Sneider, 5-foot- 9, 170 pounds, critic at Ain't It Cool News.
- Chris Alexander, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, critic at Rue Morgue Magazine.
- Nelson Chance Minter, 5- foot-7, 155 pounds, blogger and Boll hater.

Not the first time "Tara Reid" and "bad" have appeared in the same sentence. I read heard a CBC interview last night with Chris Alexander and he has apparently been doing some serious training for this fight.
That said, Bol's movies do in fact suck monkey balls.
Uwe used to be some sort of a semi-pro boxer, when he was fighting his last critic he was pretty much just playing around. He will beat all those geeks so badly its gonna be funny. Altough I do hope that one of them is some sort of a sleeper and manages to put some punishment on him.
I gave Lowtax' wife info on where to get Boxing gear. This should be fun.
6'1'' and 155? Won't he just snap?
That's pretty much what I thought when I saw those numbers. I stand 6'1 but short of cutting off a leg or two there is no way I'd ever get close to 155!

I wonder if he'd even accept a fight with a webmaster that hosted a pro-MMA/Sportfighting website...
Can't argue with logic like that.
