Exactly Roly. We just had Rigan Machado do seminars at our school about two months ago, and Carlos Machado a couple of months before that. To suggest that John Will is not affiliated or associated with the Machados is a flat out lie.

So sorry fellas- I sure don't want to disparage someone I've never trained with. I did offer that I'm certain JW's jiu-jitsu is top notch.

I'm not one to get into Internet p*ssing contests (safely hidden behind a keyboard and insulated by anonymity and thousands of miles) like the kids seem to do a lot of.
I meant no disrespect to a man's talent or students.

I apologize for using "associated with." My mistake.
I truly meant to keep my comment to the subject of the BJJ Curriculum.

This is the Internet & people can choose to believe me or not- I could very well claim that Mr.Will has a tail or that I am channeling the spirit of Ueshiba O-Sensei (or Jimi Hendrix for that matter).
I'd expext folks to be skeptical... like we all should be with anything (Internet posting or otherwise).
All I have is my word and all I offer is my word.

All the best of life & training to my BJJ brothers & sisters down under.

*flicking through John B Will 'Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fundamentals'* are you talking about the syllabus for stripes and such?

The BJJ Curriculum is something that both John Will and David Meyer have created. The only thing it has to do with the Machados is that they are their respective coaches. If they say it has been endorsed by the Machados, then I'll take their word over some anonymous guy from the internet.

Oh, and thanks for the useful contribution.

I'm very very new to BJJ but was struck by how logical that syllabus seems to be!
