I've wondered that as well. It isn't all that hard, it just takes some coordination and flexibility. Although its a great kick, my thought is that it isn't powerful enough to do damage to the pro fighter. Then again, both Filho and Andy Hug used it successfully to knock out opponents in K1 matches.

Here is a drill I use to teach my students that kick: Have your partner hold a medium size kick shield so that the bottom of the shield is just below their hips and off to the side. While facing your partner throw a groin kick at the bottom of the shield, and just before you make contact, turn your hips over and smack the front of the shield with a round house.

Not sure if this makes sense as written, but its a great drill.

Just to show off a bit here.I can do it properly with the right leg.I have a tuff time with the left.I can't turn my left leg.Even though I can roundhouse much higher with the left than the right.

Have you guys got someone teaching it to you?

Sounds like a snap kick feint to a round kick out of TKD. I've been surprised by that, too.

    I <3 this kick.

It does take flexibility though. I can't do it right now unless you are about 4'6". When I was landing it I found that most of the technique comes from the support foot even though a lot of people focus on the kicking leg. I always had to have my rotation just right. Basically don't flick your heel toward the target until you are ready to change the angle of your kicking leg and land the shot.
