The matches aren't competitive but Pride can't put their important matches on in the US. The rule changes and scoring system changes means that the results of important fights won't be seen as legitimate. There will be a lot of controversy if someone loses a fight under NSAC rules but would've lost under Pride (I see this as a big possibility because NSAC judges score by round and favor positional dominance instead of Pride's No.1 effort to finish).
I like the card, but I see it as somewhat of an exhibition event under different rules that is meant to be entertaining and introductory foremost.

Vitor Belfort x Dan Henderson has been added to the card. Hendo's moving up to 205 for it though, so no title.

I was too lazy to search around. There's no soccer kicking downed opponents, right? NSAC rules and all...

It is NSAC rules, so kicks are allowed to the body of a downed fighter but not the head. Also, even though NSAC rules allow elbows to the head, Pride opted not to include them. At least that's what's I've heard.

'tis true. I think Kidspatula mentioned once that Pride kept them out so that fights would last longer and not be stopped due to cuts.

Elbows suck, all they do are producing boring cut stoppages like in the Yves-Stevenson fight.

Yves was getting owned anyway, so it wasn't a bad stoppage.

A few minutes before that he was the one giving out the punishment, I had the fight about even when it was stopped. Yves probably would have come back to his feet and finished the fight had the fight not been stopped.
