    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Pride debut in America; very odd matchups

Its been announced that Mark Hunt VS Butterbean and Barnett VS Nastula have been added to that card. Announced already were Shogun VS Randleman, Fedor VS Coleman. Also on that card with unnanounced opponents are Phil Baroni, Nakamura and Mirko Cro Cop (judging by the rest of the card he will probably be fighting the guy Kimbo Slice KOd in his video or something). Seriously, could there be anymore mismatches there? Will any of these actually make competive fights?

Probably no, Pride seems to be using this card to introduce their stars to ignorant US fans by having them beat up burnt out fighters and cans. This card looks entertaining, but ridiculous at the same time and IMO it will make Pride look more like a freakshow than a serious MMA organisation to new fans. :tard:

I think Randleman could give Shogun a hard time. We'll see.

If it's a good match-up, then the two fighters might take time to size each other up or might stall for 3 seconds on the ground.

They would be boo'd out of the ring in the US.

I'd rather see butterbean versus giant silva.
    Hunt should be embarrased.

Hunt should only be embarassed if he loses.

Besides, Americans know who the Bean is. If Hunt knocks his ass out, they'll see Hunt as tough.

I'll give them props for knowing what the typical non-training American fan wants.

CroCop deserves a shot at Fedor.

He'll get one on New Year's Eve, unless of course Coleman pulls out the win...

Yeah, but Pride most likely doesn't want to have their first PPV on American soil end with their HW champion getting beat the **** down, which could happen.

Coleman was beating fedor in that fight.
However given what has been seen of hammerhouse I think it reasonable to infer that coleman's submission defense has gotten worse since that fight.
