They don't as long as you're not putting anything into them, but maybe that's just me :pity:

I know I'm in the wrong place, but I just bought some really nice black thick volleyball knee pads for Jits.

I like my knee pads like i like my women.

Bah... Been nursing fucked up ribs for over 5 weeks from a solid knee. If you think knees don't hurt you haven't been fighting tough people. It's all about being good to your training partners. Hurting them does nothing for you but weaken the team and possibly impair your training as your teamates fall out with injuries.

That being said, gotta agree on the knee pads not really helping too much.

did I not make it clear enough that I'm not talking about fighting here? Everyone is so goddamn quick to jump on everyone else's ass around here. I made the assumption that he and his training partners were not supposed to be going full bore on the knees during training, is that so wrong?

Ha ha... wasn't actually responding to you per se but now that I go back and read the posts you were the one that got that thought in my head. So, if it seemed like I was jumping on your ass than that was not the case.

Also, I'm just a little disgruntled right now because I need to be training for my next round of fights in November and this injury will not heal. I agree with you on the full bore thing but I will admit sometimes when the adrenaline starts pumping it gets tough to control. Still, it pisses me off such a simple thing is jacking me up!

    :cwm21:

Edit... Actually, it was this post too that made me respond coupled with yours.

Learn to take the hit, a knee to the body isn't as devastating as it sounds.
To that I say... talk to the rib!

After looking at most of what you said, and taking a few test blows with a volley ball knee pad on, we've decided the "use less force" option is the best.

Thanks for your time and what not.
