they actually looked pretty good (comparing to other horrors I have seen on youtube), they did look like judo and jujutsu, but there was a good explanation for that on the comments, tha japanese people stoled that knowledge from the koreans, hence the similarities.... now, can somebody give me a tissue to clean the blood shooting out of my nose?

Wait...wasn't Hwa Rang Do the style that suddenly had all sorts of Aikido throws/locks during the Steven Segal era?

Weren't they the ones that suddenly had "Military Knife Techniques" during the Mike Echanis era?

So...now we've got takedowns and grappling during the MMA era...

...well, if you can't beat em...join em.

Pretty much...interesting how their grappling has "positions"...there's no "positions" in Ssireum...course, no real groundgame either...

Isn't Ssireum more like Sumo wrestling?

I thought we weren't supposed to make jokes like that :p

In case you're really curious what I mean by positions, like I said elsewhere, it's similar to BJJ - least it uses the same terms. Upper mount, side mount, closed guard, rear guard, etc, etc.

yea the takedowns were a little bit goofy, they had the right idea tho, i mean they are teaching there students to use there hip, and to trip the the front or back leg, so it could be worse. the main thing is a lack of chi, they need to use about 76X5.4 + hadouken \ 3.14 = 9.3% more Chi in there training.

Are you being sarcastic or serious?
