I have that chin na in groundfighting book. You can learn more in your first grappling class than in that whole book.

Yeah, I too have a book on Chin Na. The techniques shown are over complicated to the point where I can't see them working at full speed.

I haven't read that chin-na book, so I can't comment on it, but the author is a Judo blackbelt and teaches at the Vancouver Police Department Judo club. He also worked as a cop in the downtown eastide of Vancouver (a very fucked up area, for those not familiar) for a couple of decades.

He also taught at a kung-fu place that has produced high calibre sanshou fighters (despite all the taichi wackiness, etc) :

My old Kung Fu teacher was slightly more realistic about Chin Na. He'd always remind everyone never to try Chin Na unless you've already made the other person docile by hitting them several times first.

Chin = "To seize" in Chinese language
Na = "To Hold on to" in Chinese language
Therefore Chin Na means to "seize and hold techniques".

    Jap Pan / Kor Rea - GIJoe6186 being SILLY/DORK.

It seems that you are trying to communicate in English.

    1) Would you like to consult a dictionary?
    2) Learn it from a certified/trained English teacher?
    3) Kill yourself?
