It actually does belong in YMAS now because YMAS is the "everything not BS or fighting-range specific" MA forum.
Physical Training, Diet and Health or Strikestan both would have been better. There's a similar thread about hips in Strikestan right now and PT+etc. could well cover a health issue like this.

For a lot of people, it isn't, and it's not necessarily an injury driven by one event. In my case it caused problems 18 years into (on and off) training and ramped up into requiring surgical intervention when my flat-foot adapted, screwed up biomechanics didn't jib with drilling hard round kicks and falling steps.
