Yeah, Sociocide is where this should have gone, regardless of what anyone thinks of the site design. (It's Bullshido with a different skin, wtf).

All you engineers and scientists make my brain hurt. Advanced science is almost as hard to understand as a CMAist's logic.

Sociocide is like the general chat found on any other forum, only with less moderation. Why would I go there if I wasn't staff? I wouldn't. Sociocide is an interesting concept. Be about it. Passive conversation on played out topics is much less interesting.
    1. We need to focus on Martial Arts here. In 2004, we spent more time posting about the goddamn election than the frauds and crap. Hell, I know I did personally and my training suffered.

    2. The user accounts are shared between the two sites. So it's basically just the difference between having a fucking huge list of forums on one site, and two well-categorized sets.

Sociocide right now is just a glorified Off Topic sub-forum for Bullshido, and should be used as such. People who want off topic discussion on here, typically aren't going to be concerned about the serious issues in the Martial Arts.

So that's the distinction. On Bullshido, we can't do a lot of the things we can do on Sociocide. If you have extremist views on one thing or another that aren't related to Martial Arts, they will eventually spill over into and derail/get in the way of those discussions.

With Sociocide though, it's much easier to say "take that **** over there" and focus on our core mission here. We've got WAY too much we need to be doing here on Bullshido that we don't need to get distracted or lose focus. And if you want to focus on other crap, well... Sociocide.

speaking of unified theories. anyone interested in the topic needs to read Hyperspace by Michio Kaku, if you haven't already. he does almost as good a job as Hawking in explaining difficult subjects in a way even I can understand.
