Tony Blauer : The S.P.E.A.R. system?

A buddy of mine who is in LE is being sent to a class that is supposed to be teaching the s.p.e.a.r.s method. I have googled it and have been unable to find a website. He did say they dont seem to like ground fighting. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this form/style of officer defense.

Right off the bat, the name suggests some form of crappy RBSD, but then again, I have no idea. Sounds shitty, though.

Its Tony Bluer(sp) googling "panic attack" might turn up a related website. Tony is regarded as being a competent instructor with the ability to produce good martial arts body armor while being a bit weak on the grapple. If your friend can post his impressions of the class here it would be appreciated.

Hey, that's an improper use of a racquetball court. :crybaby2:

two of my instructors are certified to teach by tony blauer and my school has two high gear suits. the SPEAR stuff is really sweet, especially if you are a training martial artist. it's usually learned in seminars and stuff but if you train it regularly it is a good addition to a standard martial arts skillset, especially for self defense stuff.
I think it was two ninjas taped together, to make one GIANT NINJA!!!!

I'd say just ask Tony for input.

This would be the most direct way to find out about the system and from reported experience of friend's he's very open to discussion and such.

Tony's stuff IS great for self-defense.

The problem with Tony's stuff is Tony; he is a HUGE egomanic.
