Question on a piece of equipment
Recently I aquired a piece of exercise equipment. It looks something like this:
In case you can't tell, its basically a spring with a handle on each end.
On the box, there are instructions that seem to indicate that you are suppose to hold it out in front of you and bend it, and that this is suppose to help develop my forearm/grip strength. However, recently my instructor told me that this piece of equipment is not particularly effective, and it carries the risk of damaging my joints. I've been using it about a month now with no obvious ill effects, but i would like to be sure. Is this a good way to exersice my forearms and/or grip? Does it carry an unreasonable risk of me injuring myself?
I've seen them before.
How much did you spend on it?
Because you just wasted every last cent.
Gimmick. It doesn't even work your forearm or grip. You bend it with your chest mainly, the hands are just there to keep it in place.
I'd still recommend keeping it around, though. If you ever need to beat someone over the head, you'll know what to use.
damnit. Luckily, I bought those in china for about 40 yen, which at the current exchange rate comes out to be a bit over 5 bucks.
Just out of curiosity tho, why would you say this is a waste of money? Is the equipment itself flawed?
edit: poop loops just answered my question. Can't trust them asians :(

You don't believe him just because he's Asian?
seems a good enough reason to me!
my friend used to have one, he played with it all the time. he was still a weak fucker though.
He had an Asian?
