The first gladiator...the one with Cuba Gooding jr...about underground boxing.
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

"Crazy Monkey" or peek-a-boo worked in Ortiz vs. Belfort. I think that it's a panic defense that is at least better than shelling up against a hard striker. (*) Unfortunately, Chuck doesn't punch like a boxer at all, he throws counter-punches and tends to aim his shots for the knockout as opposed to Belfort's style of multiple flurry punches.

In other words, the style of punching determines the effectiveness of the block used against it.

Rampage used it effectively against Chuck, and Wanderlei in their second fight until he got caught in Rd. 2. I canīt really think of many other examples though of it working well, Rampage is the only guy Iīve seen use this defence very effectively in MMA.

If it's the only guard he's good at then I'd hate to see him use anything else.
