Well some of the concepts from boxing were also shared from my original Kwoon. Such as the short ďhissingĒ breaths (Snake). But Iíve learned to utilize the bobbing and weaving more naturally along with my footwork. That and applying more fast hand combinations back to back (jab, jab, cross, upper, hook, upper, for ex.). It starts to change at closer ranges though, then I apply elbows, knees, shoulder bashes, etc. But itís AWESOME for bridging the gap.

For the most part, Iíve taken the advanced focus mitt drills, countering methods and slip/bob and weaving.

Everything, although my favourites are the lead straight, lead hook (especially to the liver) and cross.

I also love the idea of the bob and weave but being tall really makes it near-impossible for me to make it work.

If you're really tall, your jab should be your favourite technique.

You better believe it - although my jab is generally a bit of straight as well. I put my strong side forward so my jab is quite nice for my build and level of training.

Oh, so you fight against your natural position? Are you an orthodox or a southpaw? 'Cause a southpaw with a strong jab is a nightmare to fight :P I hope you don't end up in my amateur division if you are heh.
