Ewwww...that brought back a nasty memory. Playing ball in JUCO there was a rebound situation...and like 4 or 5 guys went up and as we came down there was this nasty, wet cardboard tearing sound. All of us were like wtf as the ball rolled out of bounds and one of my teammates was on the ground, rolling around, clutching his left knee.
Blowing out a knee is nothing I ever want to do seriously and for ya'll who've done it and come back, you've got my respect.

I just remembered what happened that started this.
Years ago, in my gay-ass fucking karate class (point sparring, points weren't even kept track of, no shots to the face, no contact anyway, et cetera), I was fucking around while "sparring" and tried a double front kick. I fell on my ass, of course, and when I rolled over backwards to get up slipped and bashed almost my entire bodyweight on my bent right knee. It didn't hurt much at the time, but hurt a lot for a while later on.
Well, once I see a damned doctor we'll find out, I guess.Last edited by CrapKnee; 8/19/2006 1:25pm at .

Got it re-diagnosed by my dad, who's luckily an MD (but whom I rarely see any more, which is why it took time). It's apparently patellofemoral syndrome, which is easily enough fixed with exercises that he didn't explain well enough the first time. I've already noticed a slight improvement since I've started doing them (six-inch leg lifts while taking care to fire the quadriceps before lifting), which is good.
Thanks. As you can see, it's already arrived. ;DGood luck, man. -
