Haven't seen any savate teachers locally advertised, unless you count what gets taught in the insanto academy kickboxing stuff

Happycrow. If you remember the clip I posted from 1930 Savate, there seems to be some changes in technique, if you compare how it´s done now and then.

Well, yes, definitely. Though you still see the French holding out to the older style to an extent. They don't use their hands nearly as much as they could, and you can still even see Assli on his tapes using a VERY loose guard. Not that he wouldn't beat me into the ground like a tent peg, since I still have trouble getting perfect form, but still.
