This is particularly funny coming from someone who's proud of the fact that his lineage contains Bart Vale, who made a career of teaching people to suck (in between working matches and copyrighting "shootfighting").
Anyway, I think it's perfectly reasonable to ban heelhooks and twisting leglocks in beginners divisions, since they have a pretty low margin of safety and are easy to get hurt at when you're inexperienced
I think it's pretty senseless to ban kneebars, because they /don't/ have a low margin of safety - like armbars, there's a point of lockout where you know you will be damaged if you go any further.
However, it's even more senseless to complain about it when you do an illegal technique. Know the rules of the tournament you're in; it's the first rule to competing. If you don't like 'em, don't go.

If kneebars are not allowed then specifically state: NO FUCKING KNEEBARS
Stop making awful posts or I will honour catch's hillbilly roots and lock you in the outhouse.

Just an FYI regarding your earlier comment about Bjj guys being afraid of or not doing leglocks ICY, at the place where I train, we are all about leglocks.Shut the hell up and train.

That was in response to the repetitive "leglocks are worse than death" bullshit from the BJJers, and the rules of BJJ tourneys, if you train leglocks, great, but that doesn't change the fruity rules.

From what other people have said who attended the event, it was specified that there were no kneebars at the rule meeting. This dick just obviously wasn't listening.
Same here jnp.

The nature of a leg injury is just more debilitating than an arm injury. You pop your arm one too many times with an armbar and you're in a sling, do it at all to your leg and you're in crutches. It's just how our anatomy works.:google:
Number of bottles of beer downed by me and my girlfriend within a half hour while playing the Channel 7 "how many times will they say 'snow' game" during the "Blizzard of '06": 3.5 each.

Rules are there are a reason - it doesn't matter if its the Mundials or the ADCC rules are still rules.
Also referee's decision is final.
And hello everyone btw.
