    When I was in the Marines I saw a guy drop an MP with such a technique. The MP reached out to grab him with his right hand and the guy threw a looping overhand reverse knife-hand (struck him with the thumb side of his hand) with his left and hit him right where the neck meets the body. Dropped him like a bag of hammers.

    well, i'm sure the "leopard" hand and fingertip strikes can be effective if you train them enough (like conditioning fingers to take the abuse) and know where best to apply them.

    Actually, the MP was alone and the guy escaped on foot into the woods. Of course, he left his car there so I'm sure they had no problem tracking him down later and having a baton party.
