Nothing from my wing chun training has been carried over to the new ****.
Except maybe if i grab both the lapelles of someones gi when they are in my guard and pull my arms in to my body to bring them down, it very very very vaguely reminds me if the opening arm pullback in the siu nim tao

Can somebody PLEASE find me that thread on this forum which was about a Wing Chun/boxing guy supposedly taking on a dozen guys at a train station in Australia? Nothing I search for is bringing it up. At least that was supposedly an actual documented thing, although the guy was more an MMA fighter and the attackers sounded drunk (and hence, disoriented)

No, it made it much better for me. It wasn't so much the "mysticism" but the stupidity of thinking that all the answers were in the forms, and that by performing the forms I would become more effective at fighting. Once that was out of the way, it felt like a great weight was lifted.

That took some dedication and time.
Essentially, my sole purpose is to bitch about Wing Chun. I am a sad and bitter person. I am like a pathetic reborn Christian, I have seen the light and I want to share it with everyone, regardless of whether they have seen it themselves or if they even give a ****. Until I am banned, this will continue.

Dagon, that post was hilarious. On another note I feel nearly identically the same way about Kempo dogma as Sparrow feels about WC dogma, so I feel for him even if I somehow can repress the urge to rail on Kem/npo in every thread. I made my few choice words so my opinions are known, and anyone can forum search for them if need be.
Sparrow, it's time to move on. Jesu...I mean Helio loves you...Nothing will ever change that. Those bad times are past and now you can enjoy the fruits of your training. Don't dwell on those experiences, but find joy in new ones....either that or get a big tub of Ben'n'Jerry's and cry yourself to sleep, because you'll always be a Chunner deep down inside! That's what you fear isn't it!? :)
