So, historically would we all agree that JKD is technically the newest major martial art created?

    McGee,

Ever since I discovered vicadin for my knee after the surgery, I have become a kindler gentler miguksaram. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> So I will simply direct Dr. Santo to some of the TKD history threads that have already been writen out. That should help answer some of the misconceptions.

    Dr. Santo,

If you have any questions after reading the threads please let me know. If I don't know off the top of my head, I will try to find the answer for you. Take care. I am off to watch the pink fuzzy aluminum lizards play soccer. VICADIN! Not just for breakfast anymore.

every korean MA that you've heard of except traditional archery has roots no earlier than WWII. there's tons of random ass "self-defense" systems, karate offshoots, etc. out there as well.

Don't forget Ssirum (Korean wrestling). That has been around for a long time as well. However most of the more popular arts are indeed recent innovations.

YES. That's right. Random Task = Joe Son (MMA record 0-4), aka Kimo Leopoldo's ex-manager (see UFC). He said he has his own style, called that...
