    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Also, has anyone actually either trained or sparred with any of these guys to see how good their "Quantum" Jujitsu really is compared to other forms of "jujitsu"?

Oh hell no this fool isn't using a real sword as part of this "test"!

That can considered as big of a safety no-no as doing gun disarms with a real gun!

It's probably an iaito. Why would you need to learn to defend yourself against a sword, anyway?

Wait a minute. Finally, an example of someone NOT fucking around using a plastic sword, and you give him ****? Dangerous, yeah, but DUH. It's SUPPOSED to be risky! For ****'s sake.

hmm I don't know in my CQb phase one test we disarmed a real(sharp) knife, I've never seen anyone cut. Then again we did not use a sharp knife for held knife disarms/escapes (more if some one was twitchy it would be a bit messy),

bitch ... you can never win on bullshido .

But more to the point ... if your gonna run a Mcdojo there are some basic rules you must follow . One being of course , safety for your students .

I think I read someone ( pretty sure it is in one of the quantum JJ threads below hell it may have been on MAP but I am not gonna through their **** to find it ) saying this dude is very rough on his students and injuries are very common . I don't know if that means they train with heavy all out resistance or if it means that Jeremy has little reguard to students safety .

It's quantum jiu jitsu because they do a lot of flipping around. I'll be taking quantum physics sometime next year and I expect to do all my problem solving and labs either in mid-air or upside down. I hear that the final exam is actually taken in free fall from a plane. That's what makes it quantum.

It's called safety. Hell, the one testing couldn't have accidently farted and because of that, not moved away fast enough and caught a whole lot of sword in the backside. Yeah, I know, it sounds stupid but accidents happen and you don't want to be using real weapons when they do. That's the point of TRAINING weapons, they are used so you can train with them without killing yourself and others.

    theardri ,

I can see that , if the disarms are off a scripted attack and the attacker is honor bound not to TRY and cut the **** out of you .

I don't have problem with metal training weapons . Especialy for black belt level testing . I only have an issue if it was a live blade ... and if their insurance company didn't know about .
