I traded my contender for a mossberg slug gun last year. I miss that gun.
I used it for Silhouette shooting in the early nineties with a 10 inch 7mm TCU barrel. Handloading got to be a pain, however. After I got into IDPA, Silhouettes lost alot of their charm.
I traded it with the TCU and .223 barrel with scope to a friend of mine who had sold his Contender a couple of years prior. The moral of the story is that this gun will always come back in your inventory at some point, so do not follow the temptation to ever part with it. You'll enjoy that gun for a long time. -
