"you and your friends form a "Gracie train" as you enter your dojo"
lol!
"machados are gracies"
i thought i read they were cousins, just machodo (or some other Gracie relative) was more open to striking as opposed to GJJ

The Machados are first cousins of the Gracies, Helio's nephews.
You anti BJJ fucks can kiss my ass.

Not quite. Side control? Half-guard? I don't see wrestlers and such spending NEARLY as much time in guard.

MrMcFu -
no one else seems to have posted this, so maybe I'm wrong but...
BJJ and GJJ are the same thing.
The term Gracie JJ was trademarked by Rorian Gracie when he came to the US, no one could use it without his permission (and I believe without paying him...) Everyone got around this by simply calling it Brazilian JJ.
In a recent interview, Rorian said that it was now deemed by the trademark people (sorry can't remember the US name for them) that 'Gracie JJ' was too common a term and it can no longer be trademarked. (much like the way the term xerox came to mean 'to photocopy' and the company Xerox lost the right to claim only they could use the word)The Wastrel - So attractive he HAS to be a woman.

Fingermoon and Fisting, thanks -
That was the kind of info I was curious about.
One more thing- I would think that is someone started with BJJ or GJJ as a first art would be more likely to become a nutrider. Although BJJ is very effective style, I remember being way too much in awe of my first MA instructor. Most of the guys at the Machado school I was at were practicing BJJ as a first art . . .
