People who say they have fought but really have not piss me off, ergo I peruse this website now.

If you want him to answer the questions ask again a bit nicer. -

OK I just got back and I really want to say Thanks to Klay for being as nice and courteous as he was. He really doesn't owe anyone here including me a damn thing. So allowing me to sit in and even participate in class is admirable.
I can understand how someone might have felt a bit insulted.
I am not qualified to judge his instructing in anything but jiu jitsu, so I cannot say whether or not the knife and gun defenses were worthy.
Also tonight was kick boxing although the schedule said "BJJ SPARRING" so I did not get to see any BJJ instructing. I did however get to roll with a few of his students. They were white belt level and that is not a bad thing since the school is new and they haven't had any time to produce any upper belts.
so I really have nothing to report... I did not get a chance to roll with Mr. L'onis since he was teaching kickboxing.
They did mention that some of his students are going to enter a local no-gi grappling tournament in sept and I took this as a very encouraging sign... and means that at least they believe in proving their skill, and since they teach BJJ 6 nights a week I think this is a good thing.
I do wish I could have rolled with Mr. L'onis and might sometime in the future, but whether or not I beat him doesn't mean much... it is what he teaches that really matters.
As I mentioned before I did not go there to have an interview or interrogate Mr. L'onis... I wanted to sit in on the class and make my mind up for myself, so the first thing I told him and as I posted on the board before I left, I was not going to ask specific questions about his credentials. If he wants to answer them here on this board he can.
I would still like to know about your MMA experience Mr. L'onis, but if you tell me to shove it, I understand.
Mr. L'onis, you have my phone number and I would love to come back and roll anytime maybe even help get your guys ready for the tournament. -

I think his Bedford school is maybe 20 miles from Lewisville, almost exactly half way in between Lewisville and my house in Burleson.

If not, there are lots of other options around the Metroplex.
