REAL TKD school search in NYC-
I know this is a needle in a haystack, I have a friend (girl) that wants to get back in to TKD but wants "real" non-point sparring TKD in manhattan.
If it exists, it would be found in Manhattan.
She is not looking to compete, but doesn't want to learn "tip-tap" stuff. She doesn't want to change styles (I suggested that and she wasn't too keen on the idea of Muai-thai or san shou) I would guess because she doesn't want to loose rank.
It is for a hobby.
Why not point her in the direction of Kyokushin or an offshoot, which there is at least 5 in Manhattan? Otherwise she's going to have to go school to school looking for a TKD school that she likes.

How do you lose rank? She'll always be a Taekwondo ______ Belt. She'll just be a TKD _______ belt that fights like a seasoned kickboxer!
how expensive is kyokushin anyways?
I'll see what I can find.
Somebody needs to check the phonebook for dojangs in Sugar Hill.
If I was in NY I would check this out_
Sorry this is the official site
Because I'm a homo, that's why.
Also, the place has training she may like, like specific woman's classes (I think).
Also, other people reading this may not be aware of the school and just in case she eventually decides to try something else( that's never happened before though) he can point her there as an option.
Maybe she can't find a good TKD school and checking out NY Sanda is a good alternative to smoking crack.
Or I'm a homo, short and sweet.
