So I landed in Rio for the Copa de Mundo and World Championships July3.
I fought in the Copa de Mundo, winning 2 fights and getting hosed on the third fight by a referee that forgot how to score jiu jitsu. In my final fight of this tournament, I went from bottom position in half guard to attacking my opponents turtle, which is a 2 point reversal. Referee doesnt want the gringo to advance so he fails to award me any points and gives the match to the other guy who advances to the semifinals
At the Mundials it was a little different. I was able to win 4 fights today, with the hardest one being the second where I was able to secure victory with 20 seconds left in the match. I was able to make it to the semifinals losing on two takedowns to a guy with solid judo throws- I end up with bronze at the mundials in the purple belt lightweight division.
Between the two weeks, I had 8 fights with 6 submissions. It was a good experience to be down here in Brazil again and while I came down here with intentions of taking gold, I cant wait for some time off from the mats to just relax.

Is there ANY way the reffing can be fixed at these sorts of tournaments. And no, I don't mean "nobody can argue t3h armbar".
Good job, though. You deserve some relaxation now. Go do some aikido. ;)
