    huh?

are you implying TDK isn't effective?

oh yeah? i think you REALLY, REALLY suck at fighting.

this is not fair. i suspect you are a profiler for the FBI.

back in the day, i was rated by NASKA. and i didn't even have to study TDK to win!

does that mean i'm awesome in fighting? i know katas too!

"are you implying TDK isn't effective?" yep

I think the implication was a bit stronger that YOU aren't effective.

I can't recall the last time I came across any martial arts practiconer, fight fan or even casual martial arts enthusiast who hasn't heard of BJJ. This isn't 1993 anymore. You can go to practically any city in America with more than 100'000 people and find more than one place that purports to teach BJJ, sometimes at varying levels of competency, a true indication of the growing popularity of the art. Not to mention the fact that 99% of half way decent BJJ schools are now so commercialized and adept in money sucking they could make Bob's Tae Kwan Do & Karate Center blush. BJJ is very effective and anyone over the age of 12 with a remote finger on the pulse of the Martial Arts world knows that. Not trying to stripe your "Gracie Street Team" merit badge away or anything, plug away the book all you like, but there's no need to casually diss TMAers and act as if you are bringing the BJJ gospel to the ignorant.

i said some, not many. and out of the schools that do know of BJJ, how many practice sprawling? i will go so far to say that many believe they can stop a takedown w/ a single strike.
