you would think with all this challenging and ass kicking he did in the 60's he would have ran into or fought bruce lee. but when you are nothing more then a blow-hard I could see why you wouldnt want to be discredited and embarased by getting your but kicked by a 140 pound chinese guy.

Count dante was actually in Chicago, Illinois. In the Dojo Wars a friend of his was killed. I don't know if he was insane. But after the fights, fearing retribution-Count dante was afraid to leave his apartment-he had a bleeding ulcer that eventually killed him (he was afrad to get help). I don't know if the end is true

If anyone is interested, "Black Belt" published a very detailed three-part article on Keehan/Dante in its January, February and March issues in 1976. I'm sure they can be found on e-Bay. It's probably the lengthiest biographical piece they ever published, not to mention one of their few examples of real investigative journalism.
