Thanks, for the replies, still waiting on my blood work though and my doctor. I am glad to hear that training and results may still be possible.
Check youtube and you can find clips of people doing the bas rutten workout if you want to see it in action. I got it a while ago but only recently been doing all 10 rounds with push ups and situps inbetween. Great sport specific cardio workout, it won't help you jog a mile that much faster but you can punch and kick full power a lot longer. -

IF it's hypoactive, then sure, like Jordan said, Synthroid or Cytomel and Bob's your uncle.
We saw DRAMATIC changes in body comp in some patients within a week of beginning Cytomel treatment.
However, dependence on medication for the rest of your life sucks, and I'm hopeful you're healthy enough that won't be the case.
Now, bearing that in mind... There is a RANGE of "normal" values for T3, T4, deiodase, et al, and if you happen to be on the LOW end of that "normal" range is it not entirely unheard of for a physician to offer therapy to put you in the middle or high end of that range. It's then less of a "health" issue and more of a "quality of life" issue, and your thyroid is nothing to **** around with, but it IS done, and the possibility may be worth exploring with your specialist. -

This thread made me more concerned about waiting the full 30 minutes before eating, after taking my pill. So I grabbed a banana to take to work since I can't eat today until 10 minutes after work starts. As soon as I got here, an employee hands me a free Iced Honey Bun. I brought the banana because I am at least trying to eat better. Sure all I have to do is say, "No, thank you.", and not eat it but I am WEAK. I currently have icing on my lips and have an overwhelming since of guilt.

But it is also very important to have a descent breakfast because the alternatives tend to be like what you mentioned. If you get hungry at any other time of the day and you didn't pack a descent meal, it doesn't take too much work to find a suitable replacement. With breakfast, on the other hand, the replacements are always doughnuts or bagels, or a cream cheese danish. Obviously, this won't do.
I take a green bell pepper, a red bell pepper, an onion, and some garlic cloves and chop them up. Then I throw them in a freezer bag, so in the morning all I have to do is spray the pan, throw these in and sautee them, then pour in the egg beaters. Then I top with salsa and that's it. It takes all of ten minutes to cook, eat, and clean up. Plus, there are different flavors in the dish so I can ignore the fact that I hate eggs.
Oh, and everyone has their weakness. I am particularly fond of good beer and it shows. -
