    Yeah.

Look, in the dojo with baggy gi pants, head kicks can work.
In a kickboxing/Muay Thai gym with shorts, head kicks can work.

In a self defence situation when you are wearing jeans, I would not kick to the head. If I was attacked at work or on a lunch break while I had a business suite on and wearing dress shoes, the last thing I would be doing is kicking to the head.

    Dude! That was awesome.

I especially enjoyed the part where he locked his leg over the dudes head and then kicked him in the face.

Luckily I can pull high kicks on the street since I walk around in Sprawl fight shorts and an underarmor top.

More to the point however, I feel head kicks can be practical but only when timed correctly and paired with good takedown defense. In Sanda takedowns are legal so many people like me often throw high kicks and end up on the floor. However, more experienced fighters like my coaches throw lots of high kicks and still manage to avoid the takedown/sweep/whatever.

Well don't "stretch," but hit the bag starting low then going gradually higher and harder and after a while (let's see, 500 kicks three times a week... @ 15 or 20,000 kicks later) you'll be knocking their heads off.

    And Hannibal is the correct.:la:

I just can't imagine why you guys keep picking on him.

I guess we just have to add on "on the street" to all the dumb questions like this posted on bullshido.

I'm sure the gigantic belt intimidates and dissuades many possible aggressors, so you're safe anyways.
