Jsut thought of an example like what Gong Sau ( I think) was arguing. I used to know this TKD guy who would wait for you in a low cat, right leg rear. When you came in, prepared for the lead leg, he would spin clockwise cathing you with the leg that was originally bearing the weight. The 'empty' leg became the pivot for his spin kick. Now maybe technichally, his weight had to shift but PRACTICALLY it was irrelevant. A great "bait and switch".

Gong,
Dude, I still use my skillz! I was never a design engineer anyway, my specialization was manufacturing systems. So now I just evaluate/recommend solutions for our customers. The only benefit is that I don't need to worry about pesky math problems! I just have to eyeball/approximate everything!
If you make it to ATL, dude, you GOTTA hang in TO for a night. We can bash each other (I've got a technologist MA buddy too, so you won't be totally destroyed by my superior intellect) and get drunk for our flight. *GRIN*
