Well Aikido is not all about fighting, it really is mostly about not fighting. This is why it is very possible this 6th Dan who is probably in his 50s or 60s can defeat a younger/stronger but lesser skilled opponent. This is why I like Aikido and you do not, you are more preoccupied with fighting when I am not."Why is that?"
Because fighting is not THAT complicated.
How can this be style when what arts these fighters practice vary? Some do wrestling others BJJ, some Judo, etc.MMA/NHB/Vale Tudo IS a style. -

Thanks, I do very well understand the limitations of Aikido but I am not willing to call it total bullshit so I will continue to get criticism. Anyway the ones making the strongest opinions against Aikido have an age range from high school to their early twenties yet seem to have it all figured out about martial arts, I was the same way when I was younger but I know now that I was mostly full of ****.Actually mneal made a lot of sense, and seems to have a realistic sense of what aikido is good for and what not. -

He did bear some resemblance to Chiun, the reigning Master of Sinanju. Coincidence?Pretty much everyone who studied with Yip Man (except Leung Ting) has said that he was pretty much untouchable into old age. Near the time of his death he was ill, but before that, people couldn't touch him.Kungfoolss, Scourge of the theory-based stylists, Most Feared man at Bullshido.com, and the Preeminent Force in the martial arts political arena
