Íf you can find a book about proper breathing techniques, such as done in Yoga, try meditating sometime.
In Indian, they refer to it as Prana, in Japanese they call it Ki and in Chinese it's called Ch'i.

Running, biking, swimming, lifting, situps, and mental and emotional focus will increase your internal power. And Qigong won't hurt either, I guess. :)
