I train mainly with a bokken. I also fool around with my Nunchaku, but I gotta be careful when I practice at home (in Canada) because they're illegal.

Rising Pheonix, I'd check the laws about nunchucks, after some digging alot of states that where it was "illegal" to have nunchucks it was perfectly fine to have them as long as you only carred them from your house to your place of practice and then back again, but once you walk around the neighborhood with them it's illegal.

That may be true in the US, but in Canada, they are prohibited under section 84 of the Canadian Criminal Code.
According to that useless piece of legislation, you cannot even have them for practice. Of course, people still practice with them...and some MA stores that I know of carry them secretly, but they are highly illegal.

You are absolutely right about that Rising Phoenix. That nunchuck stuff is still illegal in Canada (and I'm sure in some States in the U.S. as well). I know there are rubber padded nunchucks but I'm not sure the legal ramnification of it in Canada though?
