like one time i was sparring and i got pressed back and in those days i would throw my weight on my back leg, like a back stance as a preparation for spinning and countering with the back kick.

as i spun to kick, my partner shot in and knee'd me in the tailbone, a split second later, as a reaction to the knee strike, i back kicked him in the inner thigh. we both hit the ground simoultaneously.

couldnt sit on my ass for two weeks, and had to sleep on my stomach.

but i know why. and exactly what happened. i could relate hundreds of specific details from various matches.

I know this isn't going to help in any way, shape, or form, but what the hell...

Osiris, "gongfu' (or however you want to romanize it) means great skill. In a way, when you say that the techniques were successful due to Lu's skill, you're saying he used his gongfu.<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> Remember when Wu De quoted Yanfei as saying Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) had the best gongfu ever? Ponder that for a bit.

From another perspective, where did this skill that Lu has come from? (And before you jump there, I'm not suggesting it all came from gongfu)

On KFDW's Q, I'll tell you what gongfu isn't. It isn't a collection of techniques.
