There is something to be said for running your posts through word for spell and grammar checking. There is also something to be said for actually giving a **** and trying to make your writing more readable. Or we can all descend to illiteracy and start writing LOL LMAO :) and insert 3's for E's and all the various other stupidity that goes along with the internet.

    And I think you meant:
One more thing, in a proficiency test I got a 98% on the reading section the first time I took it, and I didn't even study. Not perfect but more understandable.

The way you wrote belies what you wrote. This isn't to pick on you but if you're calling others stupid you ought to do your best to not appear so yourself. You know that they way you write (not particularly your fault) is hard for people to understand sometimes yet make no effort to try and improve yourself. You simply want people to overlook such things despite that not being the way the world works, we all have to adapt our ways to those of the people around us. It is called being well adjusted.

Here is one of my most used sites: http://dictionary.reference.com/ I use it often to make sure I'm saying what I think I'm saying.

Dochter thank for tip. The reason I get all over Cheng's back is because he actually understand what I was saying. So he just pick a really dumb small mistake and try to compare it with all dumb things Mike Tyson has done.

Also look at this "Why you so cotton brain?" This is even worser than my mistake he was refering me to. It is suppose to be "Why are you so cotton brain" or "why are you being a cotton brain" something like that.

Many time I want to pick on some people for their grammar but I don't because I KNOW my grammar are really horrible too.

If someone don't understand my post and make comment that doesn't match what I was trying to say, I would repeat it in different way. Trust me I will know it if someone misunderstand my post most of the time. In high school almost all of the interpeteran was really poorly trainned so they cannot even really understand signing at all and I often get strange answer from teacher that wasn't even related to my question. So I just learn how to know if someone misunderstand what I was trying to say or not.

Deus, you get to train with Erik Paulson?!? He's awesome. I've got some of his tapes and have been to two of his seminars. Great guy - very knowledgable, able to convey the material, and a great sense of humor.

    <Bows to Deus.> :)

    Just my 2 cents.

Mike Tyson vs. a grappler has actually been a subject of debate for quite some time. At least since Royce Gracie offered up that challenge a few years back. As someone who has both Boxed and trained in grappling I offer the following. Tyson would need to wait for the shoot and try a one punch knockout. As was stated before...he's probably one of the few who could pull this off. If he fails in that his only other out is if he gets mounted or in the guard, pray his opponent gives him room to get one clean punch in...that's all he'd need. It should be noted that Tyson is not only a superior athlete and boxer...but an astounding physical specimen. He has a tolerance to pain beyond anything I've seen....an animal like ferocity...incredible strength and for his
size....phenomenal speed. If the grappler was up to par (Coture(sic) or Ortiz come to mind) it would be a hellova fight.

I had the opportunity to speak with the first boxer who fought Tyson after his release from prison for the rape charge(Irish fellow...name escapes me...please forgive me) and he said that Tyson didn't hit as hard as he expected. In fact,
he said he'd been hit harder in practise sparring. But with Tyson, you are literally barraged with a wall of fists. (his words). I think Tyson was toying with him.

I'm reminded of a NHB contest where Steve Jenum fought a Boxer and ended up wit a broken jaw while he was mounted on the boxer....should tell you something.

Regarding "Jailhouse Rock", or "52 Blocks": It is most certainly very real. It was developed by Militant Blacks in the '60's for use in Prisons and for unarmed defense against Law Enforcement
officers (lots of gun and club techniques). The current authority is Dennis Newsome (probably one of the nicest guys on the planet) My limited knowledge of the style is this: Highly developed hand strikes and low kicks. Grappling seems to be limited to sweeps and striking a downed opponent (stomping etc.) Students are taught to stay on their feet at all costs (guess going to the ground in a mob environment isn't a good idea). One interesting note....in the seminar I observed there were techniques being taught on how to fight while restrained at the wrists (ie. handcuffed behind the back or front). Before the critics come out of the woodwork it should be noted that this style has survived 40 years and is used in literally life and death situations. If it didn't work something else would have evolved.

First things first. Fatality, you talk crap about gorillas being smarter than Tyson? Well, let's look at your statement again:

"LMAO! Gorillas probably is much smarter than Mike Tyson."

It's actually "Gorillas are.." not "Gorillas is..." (rule of pluralism). So before you start calling people dumb, start realizing that everyone is dumb in their own ways? Why you so cotton brain? Get the point.

Anyways, I think that Tyson is deadly with boxing gloves. Take away a few ounces and that'll give him some grappling gloves. And I know strength doesn't determine the outcome of a match, but man! For heaven's sake, he looks like a freakin' monster pittbull!!! And his uppercut...hehe move quick right after the flash (remember Punch-Out).

...I'd still put my money on Macho Man or Hoy Quarlo though

"Tyson being trained by Miletich takes the fun out of the whole 'how would a boxer do in the octagon' argument. :)"
Exactly, what is he trying to prove? Still, I'd like to see it happen.

Btw Deus, I am massively jealous that you train under Erik Paulson :) I'm going to buy his five DVD set when I have the cash.
