On the wrestling topic, a lot of ppl sounded disappointed that the BS is not a submission. I had a good response, but no matter how hard i tried, thre was an error that prevented me to post on that particular thread. so here it Goes:

a submission, in my definition, is no tsomething that hurts or makes someone wnat to give up. its something that, if continued, would KO or break a limb. i do not consider the BS a sub becuase it done'st do either

however, there ARE submission series that can be done following a BS. there are about at least 3 ankle lock/leg lock moves after u get soeone in a BS.

now...if u do BJJ, u might ask "hey i dont' know what this guy is tlaking about". that's becuase this move is from sambo. cesar gracie taugt it to us and this was during a time period when we started learning some sombo moves.

Can Opener isn't really a submission...I think...but it still works on a lot of people. Especially if you have a strength advantage.

Because they DIE not SUBMIT. You can keep fighting after split scissors, but many choose not to.

well...the point i was trying to make was if u can keep fighitng, then its not a submission. a submission is omething that can potentially cause damage, and u tap out so the sub can't cause damage.

now the can opener, thats hard to explain. you tap cuz u dont' want ot walk aroudn tomorrow w/ a sore neck (btw, i've tried no ttapping to a neck crank. if someone neckc ranks me in competition, where it matters, i might hesitate a LOT before i tap.
