    Dabble much?

Just kidding. But that's a pretty varied list.
Rad ki was made up by adolescents. I do not know who created trad ki but it was not made by adolescents. your an ass dude, Im not being a little bitch you are, your past the level of a bitch. Your beyond Bitch! If im easting my time with ki and psi, then your wasting time to prove frauds, and all **** like that! -theoutsider

Kick boxing is ok, but don't expect do beat a man like Rickson Gracie with that. You need a real martial art. You need Xing Yi Quan. -Emptyflower

The splits, how ever, have a few martial uses. Doing the splits for me, can put my fists in testical strike range.

dont ignore the Art for the Martial or else your just kick boxing

Yes i am serious, there are kicks that can block punches. we have them in Moo duk kwan.
I want to learn how to use them in case my arm gets broken in a fight.
what would you have me do? if my arm gets broke, not block punches? -sempi-stone

One year of judo when I was 10 or so.
One year of TKD when I was 15.
Six months kickboxing when I was 17.
And I started up with MMA, BJJ and Krav Maga around August/September.
Kinda bored with Krav Maga, but I love MMA and BJJ for teh deadly sparring.

Yup, got a cushy desk job. Been doing martial arts fairly consistantly since leaving active duty in the Navy in 1982. I did have a few months off now and then. (Life intrudes sometimes.)

I belong to a gym that teaches several Martial Arts and encourages cross training. Here's my current schedule:

Monday: Kali and Silat mixed class 1 hour (usually mostly Kali, but not always)
Tuesday: Weights and Running (takes about an hour)
    Wednesday: BJJ 90 mins
    Thursday: Weights and Running
    Friday: off
Saturday: BJJ 90 mins, Savate 1 hour, Kali and Silat 1 hour
Sunday: Kali 90 mins and time permitting, weights

M-Th I work TKD with a collegue (5th Level BB with Kukkiwon cert.) at lunch

Sometimes I end up doing Savate Tuesdays rather than BJJ on Wednesdays. Occasionally I take a Muay Thai class if it's convenient.

Periodically the schedule changes so that I get more Savate, BJJ, Kali or whatever.

took wado-ryu for four years, uechi-ryu and aikido for six, and then took a break for about five years. now i'm getting back into it. doing a lot of running, then going to do some weight lifting and eventually i'd like to get into a boxing academy, or something. been reading books on boxing latley, thinking up and jotting down my own thoughts on sparring in a notebook and just looking forward to getting back into the martial arts again. currently not receiving formal training in anything, though.

    Whitewash me impressed...

You'll probably turn me into a ragdoll in five seconds... and then into a coma.

Is it just the TKD in my area that completely blows? I've never seen the Korean TKD teams, how are they different?

Do they throw Axe kicks all over the place and never put their legs down like the TKD people in my area?
I feel the same way man. maybe it is just the areas where you live because TKD is nothing around here either it is all a business to get money out of people by ranking a million different ranks. I think it is good for young kids as a start because other styles might be to hard for them

i do san shou. it says so in my style field, and i am not too great at it owing to my small size (5'9" 140ish lbs.) hooray.

but, before i once did some of that generic shopping mall karate where they taught me that if i am attacked, the best way to defend myself was to "protect myself at all costs" that actually wasnt so long ago, after all im only 15
