I hear Xingyi(Hsing-I) is pretty straight forward for an internal style, probably just takes some getting used to.
Personal style history(I think we had a thread on this, but it degenerated into a duel):
Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, Arnis, Uechi-ryu Karate, and HS wrestling (if that counts).

a few weeks of judo when I was v.young, few months of TKD when I was quite young.
Then Kickboxing, which eventually turned into light KB :| Next was kempojuijitsu, and after about 8 months into that I started Pancrase, which is by far the best I've ever done, not even comparable to the others. I Also take BJJ which is as good/almost as good. Want to start Shootfighting and Muay Thai as well.

Ju-Jitsu, Karate and Shinkendo were my first arts. Primarily because I have a facination for ancient cultures, history and archeology. My Ju-Jitsu instructor was my HS hisotry teacher.
Now I'm looking into BJJ or Sambo, and Muay Thai or Kyokushin and I'm having some trouble making up my mind. I know how good BJJ and MT are together, but I always have this need to be different. -

Guy Who Pays the Bills and Gets the Death Threats Style: MMA (Retired)--
Paul, right now I'm looking into American Combat Jujitsu. It's a blend of JJJ, BJJ, MT Kickboxing, and Kali for knife/stickfighting as a BJJ alternative, especially when the school is only focused on "Sport BJJ".
If it's in your area (not sure how widespread it is), you should check it out as well. -
