I've read about this guy before. Are his tehniques safe and really effective? Some of the claim are very impressive (especially if they are true)

    safe?
did you read his stuff at all?

he advocates BEFORE starting flexibility training to get strength training (squats and such) to avoid injuries and strains.....

I totally agree with his dynamic stretching thing
i knew it all along but didn't know how to explain it....thanks to Kurz....

That guy's stuff is great, but Christ his marketing is horrid.

Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

Thats kinda what made me think about it! His stuff seems very non-commercial. You cant get it anywhere except the back of magazines or websites that look like a 5 year old made them. Wasn’t having a go at him! The book just seemed exactly what im looking for, im a bit sceptical! Any one of his books in particular you would recommend? He seems to have quite a few.

    Stretching Scientifically.

Actually, I meant his marketing is horrible in its claims and crazy snake oil approach, not that he doesn't do enough of it.

oh yeah, wastrel i meant non-commercial as in you cant find his books on amazon (out of print) or a local books store. Whats amazing is some of the books they had on flexability were really poor and his, which seems half decent, wont get printed.
