Migo, are you a fuckwit on every forum you visit? As part of its goddamned training, the Isreali army uses Jiu Long Baguazhang for disarming techniques. That's where so many of the spinning throws in Krav Maga come from. And as far as Aikido's effectiveness, I don't know what the **** is going through that guy's head. Let's see him bad mouth Aikido when he's on the floor with his arm looking like a pretzel.
Btw, almost all the Tekki kata can be applied lying on your back. These are taken from traditional Okinawan wrestling, and make up Shotokan's groundfighting, but are practiced upright to build leg speed and upper body coordination.
From what people have posted, there's a larger diversity of MA here than I expected.

Krav Maga doesn't use spinning throws. They don't like spinning moves and they don't like throws, and they sure as hell don't like putting both together. Go to KravMaga.com and ask them if they use any spinning throws.

I love Paul, I'm actually going to try to catch his next retreat...
I hear he also has a two course, where he tapes the training & you pretty much spend the entire 2 days with him...lol, that is high up on my list of "must do's" too...

I take TKD, but am thinking of taking Wushu or Wing Chung for self defence reasons.

Dude, you want to do self-defense, find yourself a PFS instructor and do JKD.
Go to www.fighting.net and use the instructor search.

I am into BJJ, but I would love to cross train with MT and maybe a little boxing later on.

If you want self-defense, Wushu ain't your thing. It's really fancy, really fast, and looks awesome, but self defense? Nah. Wing Chun, on the other hand, is some awesome self defense, when coupled with something like Karate or Muay Thai.
