Bullshido, Create your own MA!

On these boards there seems to be so many points of view and analysis of martial arts why not put it to good use?

Firstly what i am not talking about is not a set MA that hands out belts online, not even close.

What i mean is a consolodation of knowledge and ideas. Everybody studies different arts under different teachers, and thus has different idea and this is why doing this has no much potential.
Most MA's to my knowledge have been founded by one person or are often one persons representation of what a MA should be. By combining views on this board a more comprehensive MA would be achieved.

It would be a superb excercise for people to look at their art and the way in which it is tought objectively, study the pros and cons and put forward ideas. There is no one perfect MA, every one can be improved.

Decison Making could still be an issue and i think if this excercise is to be attempted the MA should have a theme of some sort. This would allow people to focus on an aim. And the aim should solve a large issue within MA.

The moderators would need to control this and prehaps have a pannel of 3 to make the final decisons. However large issues could be put to votes, such as what would be the principles of the system, or would it have a stance etc.

Lastly this is only an idea, if you dont like it say it but put forward positive suggestions, this should be a pro-active thread. Not a thread to re-visit arguments of old. Also peoples views on whether this should/could be done, and moreover whether it would be done are paramount.

p.s I'm new to these boards but if this has been attempted before i apologise, i also have a suggestion for the theme which i'l put forward later.
p.p.s The theme is the 'art of FIGHTING' which takes some explanation but i think once explained solves the BS in MA to some extent. But thats something for another time.

Lets save some time. I have seen most who post here will say why, We already have BJJ and MAUY THAI nothing else is needed.

Just kidding. That **** is really irritating.

I think there's still a lot of work to be done in the area of synthesis of tools. It's ridiculous that you have to go to many different places or learn discrete systems in order to put together a complete arsenal. Which is still just a bit of a Frankenstein's monster.

As far as this site making a martial art goes...can you imagine the acrimony over uniforms? Personally, I say go with a neo-fascist cadre outfit. High collar, jodphurs,tall boots, riding crop, and maybe a dark cape....like M. Bison or something. Instead of belts, we could wear evil thumb rings or something....

The site (and the web) are about ideas and typing. Geography wise we are all over the place. How could you practice? Talking about techniques is limited. But if you can organize this I want it called Patfu.

I think a teacher is always needed to learn techniques properly. Like the wrastrel said its very hard to find a complete MA. Even if details like how to teach it are left out it doesn’t matter. I think this site offering an example of what it thinks a complete MA should consist of would be a positive thing
