    Picture this:

youve just done 3 hrs of pretty hard martial arts training - pushing yourself.
    1 hr kickboxing, for cardio,
1hr jiujitsu for the hell of it,
    and 1hr BJJ for grappling.

You know that in the morning youre going to ache like feck.

any way to prevent this? something that will mean I can actually stretch/move in the morning.

    lol

    1. Drink lots of water to replenish body fluids. (Duh!)

    2. Eat your vitamins.

    3. Suck down some protein and maybe some creatine if you have it.

    4. Eat! Replace the carbs and whatever you used/lost sweating on other people.

    5. Stretch the muscles you used. This is to stimulate restorative blood flow......

    6. Eat!

    7. Drink water!

i'm sure i missed something there.....

Ive only seriously felt that after last friday - as we were being taught by a guy that fights in cage warriors.

I'm just aching slightly. I dont wanna be aching more tomorrow.

And I've only been doing these for a month or so :|

"Oh, good. Just keep it up and itll go away."
    Corectified!!!!!!

i hope you don't feel that way after EVERY class, there are other possibilites for that, and you could be setting yourself up for an injury (of the more serious kind)

Seriously, I've found that if you've got your diet under control, and you're in decent shape as it is, you won't get THAT sore unless you're overdoing it.

I've found that a creatine-grape juice coctail before and a good protein shake right after training are awesome. I can practically feel my body sucking up all the stuff it needs out of the shake. It's a strange feeling. Just don't throw it up after you drink it. That ****'s expensive.

After a hard workout, drink Gatorade before water. You need to restore those electrolytes. Otherwise the water will just go straight through your body.

    ?

and would it not be good to flush out some of the acids and whatever gained from working out?

your muscles repair and regrow WAY faster, also you avoid carbs and fat generally with a supplement, creatine is good as well

i once had two workouts in one night, very amazing for me
