Maybe not but I think it did. Herring looked all off balance with his standing. Pathetic! I've never seen a fight as bad as that one. He was over-stretching with most of his striking. I think he was paid to lose. I have no real proof except for the fact that he looked soooooo pathetic.

Could be ring rust, Herring hasn't fought in a while. Hell, Chuck Lidell looked like a different guy when he fought Randy Coutoure. I guess even the top guys can have off nights. At least, I HOPE that's the case. PRIDE doesn't exactly have a great reputation when it comes to works.

I agree, but that kick to his rib was narley. I think that Herring was caught off his game and didn't realize how powerful and exact cro cop was.

Another point of view could be maybe CroCop is just that much higher level when it comes to striking.

Go away I'm talking to myself

Cro Crop's ability to avoid takedowns amazed me even more than his striking did. He is one slippery mofo in the ring. I need to review the tape but did Heath get even a single takedown? I'm pretty sure that standing was the last place he wanted to fight Mirco. Anyone that can knock the **** out of Bob Sapp is going to be bad news on the feet.

I haven't seen the Herring fight but I saw both Mirko's fights against Fujita. His takedown defence was a billion trillion times better the second time around (last December) -- the guy just keeps getting better at every part of his game. I wouldn't bet against him in just about any fight I could think of.

It almost looked like a work, but Cro Cop's takedown defense was just too slick to be anything but real.

Seriously, he clowned Herring like he was a Jr. High wrestler.
