I've taken Glucosamine Sulphate in one month courses 3 times, each one seperated by a month or two. I've dodgy knees, a knackered (at the time) shoulder and arthritic fingers. I've not had any improvement in anything apart from the shoulder which may have healed naturally.
As for the cost, a 30 day course costs about 2.50 so I don't know what the hell you've been buying Omega.

First of all what fucking language are you speaking. Second of all it was liquid glucosomine/condrotine concentrate. Taste like piss. And yes I've tasted piss before (baby pissed in my mouth once)

elipson, as I understand it they are for helping rebuild cartalidge.(sp.) (not yet conclusive)
Like my Miniscus, which is basically the shock absorber for the knee.

I don't think it would have an affect on the patella.

    Thanks guys,

I bought myself some glucosamine capules. They also contain chondroitin sulfate. I wasn't sure if they would be effective or not, so I just wanted a second opinion.

By the way, epsilon, about the patella problem...

Glucosamine wouldn't do it an ounce of good because it is bone. Try some calcium supplements.

Or do as Mr.T says and drink milk. Either one works.

I know that now, that's why I stopped taking it after one bottle. I get plenty of cal/mag and iron, I think I'm just cursed. I drink several liters of milk a day, costs my parents a fortune.

I've tried strenghthening the quad to help re-align everything, but I keep injuring my knee over and over agian. I'm currently recovering from another knee injury almost two weeks ago from playing rugby. I can't run, I'm afraid to grapple, it even hurts to drive my damn car, I hate it. And I'm only 20! Imagine what I'll be like at 40!

    Hey Epsilon,

Do you wear a brace when you train?

I do sometimes. I use the neoprene one, because it's easy to clean, but I find it restricting.

Ya I wear a neoprene brace. It helps a lot, but injuries still happen. I find it's best use is in keeping the joint warm and loose, prevents it from getting cold and tightening up. Mine isn't restricting at all, does yours have any metal in it, like a spring down down the side? Mine doesn't due to rugby rules.

No, my brace is just neoprene. No metal in it at all.

Yeah, someone else told me that the brace is bad for injuries sometimes too.
