This is going to be the coolest film on Japan and Samurai culture since "Shogun".

I am definetly going to it. This may finally spur some much needed interest in Kumsul/Kenjitsu in America.

Truthfully, Tom isn't too bad of an actor. He's been in some better than average films.....

    Rain Man
    Color of Money
    Jerry Maguire
    Magnolia
    Interview with a Vampire
    A few good men
    The Firm
Born on the 4th of July
    Far and Away
    The Outsiders
    Risky Business

Seems like he has a good track record to me.

Yeah, Tom may have laid more than his fair share of eggs in his moviemaking career.....but this movie looks too damn cool to pass up.

And besides, since he sucked so badly before...this means that there's a ton of room for improvement.

Plus, this is a real honest to goodness cast that is shorter than Tom Cruise.

    Guranteed to be a winner!

I would prefer if this weren't just another "exciting stuff in the non-white world starring a white guy" film. Couldn't the protaganist be fucking Japanese for cryin out loud?

Well, Fighty, it sure would be nice....

But in it's defence, I do think this movie does deserve a chance, considering the ton of other garbage that we feel somewhat compelled to waste our hard earned dollars on at the theatres.

Personally, I'd like to see a live action version of "The Hakkenden" or better yet, a modernized version of Miyamoto Musashi's life.
