The vid looked Ok - except no face punching (?) - and about half way through one guy kicks the other in the face and the ref seems to stop for a point (?) or something even though both are still standing. But I'm sure there's worse ways to sparr.
You are a total Douchbag. Train more, post nevermore.

Style: Judo--
Gongkwon Yusul is created in 1996 in South Korea. It combines Judo, Hapkido, Kyuktoogi, Hakko Ryu (Jujitsu) I think. The homepage lists more Korean martial arts the master took prior to establishment of Gongkwon.
Common misconceptions are:
1) Gongkwon Yusul is BJJ + Korean MA (ex. taekwondo or hapkido)?
Fact: Gongkwon Yusul was created in 1996. BJJ was brought to Korea by John Frankl in 1999. Gongkwon's floor work comes from judo.
2) Gongkwon Yusul's grappling derives from Hakko Ryu?
Fact: Hakko Ryu is jujitsu (grappling) but more like aiki jujitsu (its origin) or hapkido when it comes to joint locks and submission holds. It is more traditional looking. Judo is the root for Gongkwon Yusul's ground techniques (refered as Wa Sul).
3) Gongkwon Yusul derives from Kyokushin?
Fact: Nope. Gongkwon Yusul's striking techniques derives from kyuktoogi ("korean kickboxing" that combines taekwondo and muay thai) and hapkido.
4) Gongkwon Yusul is "korean mixed martial art"?
Fact: Gongkwon Yusul is created as a NO HOLDS BARRED martial art like sport jujitsu or daido juku but IT IS NOT A COMBAT SPORT and IT'S FOUNDATIONAL INFLUENCE IS NOT MMA.
5) Gongkwon Yusul is a style of Hapkido?
Fact: It is often labelled as Hapkido even by those who practice in Korea, however, its distinct characteristics often distinguish it from Hapkido. It was once named "Real Fighting Hapkido" or "Combat Hapkido" in korean but (i think) due to criticism of other hapkido instructors in Korea, Master Kang (founder) was convinced that he have to change the name in 1998. *Gongkwon Yusul has no relations with American Hapkido style called "Combat Hapkido."
